    Fred Eaglesmith is an Independent recording artist and wonderful performer, he is also the subject of an in-depth essay in Allan Safarik's book Notes from the Outside: Episodes from an Unconventional Life. When he's not touring or performing Eaglesmith paints images he sees along the road. Eaglesmith's painting "Ditched" graces the cover of Safarick's memoir Notes from the Outside. If you haven’t seen Eaglesmith in concert we highly recommend it.

    Hagios press is an associate member of the ACP which represents approximately 140 Canadian-owned and controlled book publishers from across the country. The membership is diverse and includes publishers from a variety of genres.
  • Literary Press Group of Canada
    Hagios Press is a member of the LPG which, fosters the survival, growth and maintenance of Canadian owned and operated publishing houses. LitDisCo the affiliate distributor for LPG distributes Hagios Press Books.
  • Saskatchewan Publishers Group
    A non-profit organization dedicated to assisting Saskatchewan book publishers and promoting Saskatchewan-published resources. Hagios Press and other SPG members qualify for funding through the Saskatchewan Cultural Industries Development Fund.
  • SaskCulture
    A community-driven, non-profit organization that works with our members to build a culturally vibrant Saskatchewan where all citizens celebrate, value and participate in a rich cultural life. Hagios Press is a non-voting member of SaskCulture.
  • Saskatchewan Book Awards

    The Saskatchewan Book Awards were established in 1993 by the joint efforts of the Saskatchewan Writers Guild, Saskatchewan Publishers Group and Saskatchewan Library Association. Saskatchewan Book Awards Inc. was incorporated in 1994.

    Our mandate is to recognize and celebrate the achievements of Saskatchewan authors and publishers and help promote their books. Awards have been added or changed according to demand and when a sponsor can be found. Leading up to the awards, short list readings help promote nominated books. The awards gala, held toward the end of November, positions winning books for the Christmas market.
